Mabrosheh

Ingredients

Mabrosheh:

  • 3cups Al Safwa flour
  • A cup Al Safwa sugar
  • 3 eggs ¼ cup ghee
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Al Safwa apricot jam (cherry or strawberry jam, if desired)

Instructions

Mabrosheh:

  • Mix the sugar with the ghee in the mixer, and gradually add the eggs while continuing to beat.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, and add them gradually to the mixture.
  • Stir until you get a cohesive dough.
  • Spread half of the dough out in an oven tray, and leave the rest of the dough in the freezer.
  • Place a layer of jam on the dough in the tray, and grate the frozen dough over the tray.
  • Put the mixture in the oven at 180 degrees until fully cooked
